Very recently a bug in T-Bird popped up.
I can't get e-mail unless I just booted the OS & then, I can only get e-mail one time.
After that I can't get e-mail uynless I re-boot.
Is there a buffer in T bird or a such a state as having too many e-mails on my disk?? I did delete a lot of old mails to see if it'd help - no change.
Only other sympton is e-mail program takes forever to load. It began tasking too lonfg to load about a few days prior to this problem.
I updated the program to the newest version - no change.
OS is Win 64 bit XP
Any ideas???
I'm going to run a virus scan and see if that's an issue

Re: Thunderbird issue
Fri, February 24, 2006 - 3:37 AMTry compacting the folder. If that doesn't work, you might have to delete your inbox.msf file. It's just an index that rebuild itself once you start Thunderbird again.
Google for Thunderbird msf and you should find a lot of info on the subject. -

The opening was slow. Then it seemed normal.

Fri, August 11, 2006 - 1:13 PMI believe it rebulds the index upon opening the mail folder; that would explain the slowness. -
