crashing

Lately Firefox has been crashing far more than usual, almost always when something Java is loading or loaded on a page. Anyone else having this problem?

I recently added the RIP (remove it permanently) extension. Could that be part of the issue?

    Thats your first trouble shoot i downed something ext that was supposed to go faster yea some ext no good

    Firefox web site has a section for nightly builds. They may or may not be as stable as the "official release" but they are a work in progress. I've also had good luck with Deer Park, but have not seen or heard of anyone elses comments.

      hmmmmm..... i came searching for this tribe, cuz suddenly, out of the blue, mozilla 1.7.3 on my, ahem, winxp, is crashing every time i try to login to blogger to update my blog.

      any thoughts?

      my computer is squeeky clean (well, as clean as it can be running windows), cache is cleaned out, cookies emptied..... etc.....
